Wout van Aert posts extraordinary Strade Bianche ride to Strava

Joe Robinson 7 Mar 2018 A gruelling day in the saddle produced some epic stats for van Aert's Strava feed Wout van Aert uploaded his incredible Strade Bianche third place ride to Strava , however failed to take any King of the Mountains due to the epic wet and muddy weather. Simply entitling the ride 'Strade Bianche', van Aert recorded some impressive stats including a maximum speed of 88.2 km/h, an average cadence off 88rpm over 5 hours and 10 minutes of riding with his heart rate hitting a lofty 196bpm. The wet, sticky white gravel roads restricted the triple cyclocross World Champion to an average speed of 36km/h which is slightly slower than your average one day race.
