Photo: Alex Wright/Teneight When the teams that will line-up for the 2018 Tour de Yorkshire were announced, many were surprised to see the omission of Team Wiggins. Led by rising star Tom Pidcock - who hails from Leeds where Stage 4 will finish - the development squad had looked like a fairly safe bet for inclusion. Upon joining the team, Pidcock had expressed his hope to compete in the race that takes in some of the best roads in his home county. Speaking to Cyclist on the evening after the Yorkshire team selection news broke, the 18-year-old was careful about what he said but was clear in his disappointment.
