UCI confirms WorldTour and ProContinental teams for 2019

Joe Robinson 11 Dec 2018 Three new teams enter ProContinental level including team of Mathieu Van der Poel The 18 WorldTour teams for the 2019 season have been confirmed by the UCI with only the one new team, as changes are seen in the ProContinental ranks. As was already known, Polish budget shoe brand CCC has stepped up its sponsorship from the ProContinental ranks to replace the disappearing BMC Racing for next season. CCC has also assumed much of BMC Racing's roster and staff base with the Swiss bike brand withdrawing from primary sponsorship. CCC will also be aboard new bike sponsor Giant which replaces the formerly eponymous BMC bikes and ride in Etxeondo kit instead of Assos, which moves across to Dimension Data .
