Tour de France to have 20 individual yellow jersey designs in celebration of centenary

Joe Robinson 15 May 2019 Legends such as Merckx, the Galibier and Paris all to be remembered in special edition jerseys Tour de France organisers Amaury Sports Organisation and yellow jersey manufacturers Le Coq Sportif will create 20 individual yellow jerseys for this year's race to celebrate the centenary of the leader's jersey. From the start of Stage 2 in Brussels, each day will see the race leader wear a uniquely designed jersey to mark significant climbs, buildings and individuals from the race's past. Each day starting from the end of Stage 1, the race leader will be presented with the special jersey for the next day of riding. The images are subtle as to not detract from the tradition of the yellow jersey but should be clear enough to be made out by television cameras.
