Tom Pidcock wins maiden elite national cyclocross title in emphatic fashion

Joe Robinson 14 Jan 2019 Pidcock dominates men's titles as Brammeier takes back women's event Tom Pidcock dominated the British Cyclocross National Championships at the weekend to secure not only the Under 23 title but also a maiden Elite jersey. In the women's event, Nikki Brammier (Mudiiita) proved strongest for her fourth senior national title at the Kent Cyclopark this Sunday. Pidcock, racing for his self-titled TP Racing, proved a class apart in the men's race, taking the lead from lap two before eventually winning solo, a full minute ahead of runner-up Ben Turner (Corendon Circus). Third fell to Thomas Mein ( Tarteletto-Isorex) as Ian Field missed out on a podium spot for the first time since 2011.
