Tom Pidcock dominates Nationals ahead of Cyclocross World Championships

Joe Robinson 13 Jan 2020 Lapping all but 14 riders, Pidcock shows good form ahead of Worlds in three weeks' time Tom Pidcock rode to a second consecutive cyclocross British National Championships victory, laying down a marker for the upcoming World Championships . The 21-year-old rode to a comfortable victory on the Shrewsbury course, despite a crash on the first lap, eventually beating nearest rival Ben Tulett by a margin of 2 minutes and 4 seconds. Pidcock's Trinty Racing teammate Cameron Mason completed the podium a further 11 seconds adrift. By finishing second overall, Tulett's performance was good enough to secure the current Junior World Champion the Under 23 title. Despite being of age, Pidcock was no longer legible for the title having already moved up to Elite level.
