Three new affordable Shimano road wheels

A high-end wheelset can break the bank, but thankfully Shimano has some new and more affordable wheel options on the way. For 2018, three new road wheelsets are set to grace the range; two sets for the road and one "multi-surface" design. A 19c, tubeless compatible rim is not the widest we’ve seen, but Shimano says it will be good for up to 38c tyres. As you’d expect, it’s a disc-brake specific wheelset with Centrelock mounts. The hubs use Shimano’s 12mm E-Thru-axle standard and are compatible with 10- and 11-speed cassettes. The wheelset weighs 1,900g and will set you back $254.99.
