The Uci Bans The 'Super Tuck' Descending Position

Joe Robinson 5 Feb 2021 Sitting on the toptube will be banned alongside throwing bottles into the road The UCI has announced it will ban the descending position known as the 'super tuck' from 1st April. This came as part of a wider announcement from the governing body in which it made revisions to its safety protocols in order the make the sport of cycling safer. The 'super tuck' was a descending position made famous by Chris Froome but honed and perfected by Bahrain Victorious rider Matej Mohoric. It involves the rider shifting down and sitting on the bike's toptube while tucking in the elbows and shoulders to make themselves more aerodynamically efficient.
