Steve Cummings Joins Ineos Grenadiers As Sports Director

Joe Robinson 8 Feb 2021 The 39-year-old returns to the sport to spearhead team's new aggressive racing style Former British National Champion Steve Cummings has returned to professional cycling as a directeur sportif at Ineos Grenadiers . The two-time Tour de France stage winner will rejoin the British WorldTour setup having raced for the team in the 2010 and 2011 seasons. Cummings retired from the sport in 2019 after a successful five-year stint at African team Dimension Data . Initially, the 39-year-old had explored opportunities away from cycling in retirement but has ultimately decided to return. 'When I stopped racing, I didn’t really know what I wanted to do.
