Will Strickson 24 Mar 2021 French newspaper Le Parisien have reported that the Hell of the North will be officially postponed later today We're going to have to wait a while longer for the return of Paris-Roubaix . French newspaper Le Parisien reported this morning that the race, originally due to take place on 11th April, will be officially postponed by organisers ASO later today. It shouldn't come as too much of a surprise as a third wave of Covid-19 in continental Europe caused the North and Hauts-de-France regions in northern France to be placed into a strict month-long lockdown last Thursday. ASO had tried to come to an agreement with France's sport and health ministries to have the race go ahead in a bubble and with no spectators, however it was deemed unreasonable at this time to devote public resources including police to a bike race.
