Only 12 WorldTour teams to participate in final team time trial World Championships

Joe Robinson 7 Aug 2018 Six teams decide to skip event that will no longer be part of the calendar in 2019 Only 12 of the 18 men's WorldTour teams have been confirmed for the final team time trial at the UCI World Championships in Innsbruck, Austria. Six WorldTour teams have decided to skip the event that will take place on Sunday 23rd September, despite being invited. In press release, the UCI announced the squads that will be on the start line for the team time trial event, confirming that six teams from cycling's top tier will be absent. The teams that decided against riding the event are Bahrain-Merida , Groupama-FDJ, Lotto-Soudal, Dimension Data, EF-Drapac and UAE-Team Emirates.
