Niki Terpstra Posts Flanders Winning Ride On Strava; Fails To Set Kom

Joe Robinson 3 Apr 2018 Despite winning the Cobbled Classic, the Dutchman failed to impress on Strava Niki Terpstra (Quick-Step Floors) attacked with 27km to go to take an impressive victory at the Tour of Flanders over the weekend. Bridging over to Vincenzo Nibali (Bahrain Merida), Terpstra raced past catching the leading trio on the Oude Kwaremont before going alone into Oudernaarde, securing the second Monument win of his career. It was a truly mighty ride from the Dutchman who has now undoubtedly added his name among the greats of Cobbled Classics racing, however, there was one place this race-winning ride failed to impress, Strava . Uploading his win to the popular app, Terpstra may have been suprised to discover that he was unable to secure a single King of the Mountain en route and even more suprisingly, his efforts were not even good enough for any top 10 placings. ...
