Maxxis Launches New Generation Of High Road Tyre

Will Strickson Monday, February 8, 2021 - 14:02 Maxxis's road racing tyres have been given new casing, puncture protection and tread pattern Maxxis has launched the second generation of its road racing High Road tyre. The Taiwanese manufacturer which supplies the tyres for Chris Froome 's Israel Start-Up Nation has refreshed its all-purpose racing tyre with new casing, puncture protection and tread pattern. The first High Road tyre was released in 2018 at the Tour of Britain joining the Pursuer training tyre and Re-Fuse endurance tyre in Maxxis's road range, with the High Road SL race-only tyre arriving last year. Taking the high road The High Road Gen 2 has been upgraded to 170TPI casing from 120, which Maxxis says brings a 12-15% weight reduction and a 2% reduction in rolling resistance.
