London to host first ever eRacing Championships in March

Peter Stuart 28 Jan 2019 Men and women will compete for a £1,000 prize and national champion's jersey on Zwift London will host the first British Cycling eRacing Championships this March, where for the first time a national men’s and women’s eRacing champion will be crowned and each will be awarded £1,000. The race, the first Zwift race series of its kind, will be broken down into an elimination race, scratch race and points race. Before that, a mass-start online qualifier race will be held on the 24th February to reduce the field to the best performers. The full specific race schedule has yet to be publsihed. After the multi-format race is completed, the top 10 finishers in the men’s and women’s divisions will be invited to a live final event in London, at which they will compete virtually over two laps of Watopia Figure 8 – a total distance ...
