Kelly Catlin has passed away

Sad news to report. Rally Cycling’s Kelly Catlin has passed away of an apparent suicide, her family has said. She was starting her third year with the American pro squad, having finished 11th in the BeNe Ladies Tour last year. She was also prominent on the track, having won a silver medal in Rio in the team pursuit, along with two world championships in the discipline. She was also in graduate school at Stanford, studying computational mathematics. The news of Kelly’s passing has hit the team hard. Losing an incredible person at such a young age is very difficult. Kelly was our friend and teammate. Our heartfelt condolences go out to her family and those who were fortunate enough to know her best. https://t.co/azrTP4fIy9 — Rally UHC Cycling (@RallyUHCcycling) March 10, 2019
