Greg Van Avermaet the latest rider confirmed for Tour de Yorkshire

Joe Robinson 20 Apr 2018 Olympic champion to headline BMC line-up next month in Yorkshire Olympic champion Greg van Avermaet (BMC Racing) is the latest headline name to be confirmed for the Tour de Yorkshire in May. The Tour, which starts in Beverley on 3rd May, will see the 32-year-old looking to move on from a disappointing Spring Classics campaign that delivered zero victories – a far cry from his dominant 2017 form that saw him win Paris-Roubaix , the Omloop Het Niewsblad, E3 Harelbeke and Gent-Wevelgem. It will be the Belgian's second appearance at the Tour de Yorkshire, having finished seventh in the 2015 edition.
