Will Strickson 19 Mar 2021 L'Équipe has published a list of the top 20 earners in the peloton Chis Froome 's new contract with Israel Start-Up Nation has made him cycling's highest earner, bringing in a cool €5.5 million salary. That's according to a report published by French sports newspaper L'Équipe that listed the top 20 best paid riders in the men's peloton and looking at the list, dominated by Ineos Grenadiers , there are a few surprises. Coming in just behind Froome, who got a €1 million pay rise by making the switch to ISN, are Tour de France champion Tadej Pogačar and last year's highest earner Peter Sagan. Geraint Thomas has become Ineos's best paid rider in fourth with €3.5 million just ahead of teammates Egan Bernal and Michał Kwiatkowski who L'Équipe says take home €2.8 million and €2.5 million respectively.
