Bardet and Martin fall foul to thieves after Catalunya crash

Joe Robinson 2 Apr 2019 Both riders have items stolen from bike after high-speed crash on final Volta a Catalunya stage Dan Martin and Romain Bardet both appear to have been the victims of light-fingered thieves after a major crash on the final stage of the Volta a Catalunya in Barcelona last weekend. Both riders fell victim to high-speed collisions on a descent within the 7km Montjuic suburban circuit that played host to the final stage of the race. While trying to remount their bikes and finish the race, they noticed they had been relieved of items of on-bike tech by opportunistic thieves within the crowd. UAE-Team Emirate's Martin took to Twitter after the race to announced his Garmin GPS computer had been stolen from his bike while he was trying to remount following the crash.
