Whether it be the picture of LeMond and Hinault rolling into the town of Huez hand in hand or Pantani and Armstrong trading blows all the way up the Giant of Provence, both have provided memories that stay long in the minds of us cyclists. It also means that thousands will flock to either every summer considering the accomplishment of reaching the summit to be among the greatest of their cycling lives.
